The Headers suffered the first of two lossing seasons under McGuiness when they finished at 5-7-1 despite a 73-0 rout of Rockport on opening day. Prince, Franklin, Clark, Jack Goodwin, Mitto GLover, Tabby Glass, Phil Wade, and Walter Fader all scored TD's in that impressive start. The season, however, would see shutout losses to Peabody, Classical, and Newburyport. Marblehead and Swampscott played to a 6-6 tie as quarterback Tom Pontililo scored the only TD. The Thanksgiving lineup: Morse (LE), Larkin, McCune (LT), Pierce (LG), Proctor (C), Stone (RG), Knowlton (RT), Goodwin Goodwin, Pontililo(QB), Wade (HB), Clarke (HB), Prince (FB).
